ASACCU Robert Friday- Founders Award

The Founder’s Award is named in honor of Robert (Bob) Friday, who left us for eternal life in the spring of 2026. Naming this award after Bob is a small way we can recognize his immense contributions as one of the founding professionals of ASACCU. Bob was the former Assistant Dean in the School of Theology and Vice President for Student Life at The Catholic University of America. As a member of the faculty for the three ISAAC (Institute for Student Affairs at Catholic Colleges and Universities, ASACCU’s predecessor) and founding member of ASACCU, Bob’s career was defined by a commitment to intellectual clarity and moral agency. He believed that true moral maturity requires a person to rigorously follow their conscience by first understanding the Church’s traditions before reaching a personal point of acceptance or rejection. This award recognized those who embody Bob’s legacy of thoughtful inquiry, administrative leadership, and dedicated service to the formation of principled leaders.
