Welcome to the Association of Student Affairs at Catholic Colleges and Universities (ASACCU). ASACCU was founded in 1999 by a group of Student Affairs practitioners in Catholic higher education who were seeking to foster community and communication among student affairs professionals working in higher ed.

  ASACCU Mission

The Association of Student Affairs at Catholic Colleges and Universities (ASACCU) promotes the exploration and sharing of knowledge to further holistic student development founded on Catholic mission, values, and identity. ASACCU provides professional development opportunities for those working in student affairs at Catholic colleges and universities. 

About ASACCU

ASACCU is a professional organization led by a volunteer Board, elected by the membership at the Annual Association Meeting at the summer conference. Board Terms are three-years and renewal.  The main functions of ASACCU include –

  • Sponsor an Annual Summer Conference each July, hosted by a member institution

  • In conjunction with the Summer Conference, sponsor a “Best Practices” for mission integration into student affairs programs and initiatives across the country.  Submissions for the Mission Integration Awards are due each winter, in three categories, and those receiving the Award receive up to two complimentary registrations for the Summer Conference as well as the opportunity to present a program session at the conference.

  • Sponsor an Annual Roundtable Discussion for SSAOs at member institutions, at which those attending offer topics for discussion and exploration.  Typically the Roundtable is the first Thursday and Friday of November and takes place on the campus of DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois.

  • In addition to these annual events, ASACCU seeks to provide access to a network of student affairs professional living Student Affairs at Catholic Colleges and Universities.  This network is nurtured through attendance at the Summer Conference, through job postings on this site, and through the member directory

  • Promoting the dignity of the human person and the pursuit of Catholic Social Teaching
  • Celebrating the Catholic tradition of the varied founding orders and diocesan schools
  • Reflecting the spirit of love found in the gospel message

Creating a network of professionals in Catholic higher education, which seeks:

  • To nurture a community of learners that wrestles with the challenges students face and

Hosting an Annual Conference each summer, with pre- and post-conference opportunities

Hosting a Roundtable Discussion for SSAOs each Fall 

  • To provide opportunities where professionals can explore relevant topics from best practices to faith formation
