2023 SSAO Roundtable

AGENDA & FORMAT: This is an in-person roundtable-format event. What makes it a rich and meaningful gathering are the topics that are generated by you, the SSAO attendees. This is a safe and confidential space for us to discuss and consider important and timely topics as leaders in Student Affairs.

• THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 2: Beginning with lunch at the DePaul Center, we will meet from Noon until 5:00 p.m. An afternoon keynote session will be offered by TBD followed by Mass in the Chapel, social and dinner together at a downtown Chicago restaurant. Lunch, reception, and dinner included.

• KEYNOTE: Dr. Alyssa Westring, Professor and Chair of Management & Entrepreneurship at DePaul University, will be our keynote presenter, offering her reflections on the challenges we face as leaders today.  Dr. Westring is the author of many publications.  Of note is Parents Who Lead: The Leadership Approach You Need to Parent with Purpose, Fuel Your Career, and Create a Richer Life, which was published by Harvard Business Review Press in March 2020.  We are excited to welcome Dr. Westring to our gathering!

• FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 3: We will meet again from 8:00 a.m. until Noon. Continental breakfast and boxed lunch included.

REGISTRATION: The conference fee is $125.00 for ASACCU members ($175 Non-members) and registration is currently open and includes meals. LODGING: We have arranged a room block with a negotiated rate for any attendees who would like to stay at the Silversmith Hotel located at 10 S. Wabash Avenue (downtown Chicago). Rooms are held for ASACCU Board Members for some Early Arrivals and more rooms for Extended Stays.  The special negotiated rate of $189 per night rate applies from Wednesday, Nov. 1^st  through 5^th, in case you are staying late. The discount rate includes:

• Complimentary access to Fitness Center.
• Waive Historic Preservation Fee
