2017 Best Practices for Mission Integration Award

Student affairs professionals at ASACCU member institutions are invited to submit programs for judging by current practitioners in the following areas:

  • Dean of Students, Residence Life, Health and Wellness and related
  • Student Activities, Leadership, Orientation, and related
  • Diversity, Inclusion, and related

Recipients of this year’s awards will receive a complimentary registration (limit of 2 per area) to the 2017 ASACCU Conference (July 18-July 21, 2017) held at Neumann University in Aston, PA. Further, recipients will be recognized at the conference and are asked to consider presenting their program in a session at the Conference.

Judging for each area will include the following criteria:

  • positive impact on student learning;
  • successful demonstration in addressing student needs and/or campus needs;
  • originality and creativity;
  • demonstration of at least one of ASACCU’s Principles of Good Practice;
  • evidence of Catholic identity and/or mission elements; and
  • practical use of research and/or assessment.

Substance and quality…3-5 pages.

By recognizing certain practices or programs as excellent, we issue a challenge to student affairs professionals at Catholic institutions to provide exemplary service to our students. We hope you accept this invitation and submit your good work as a best practice of Catholic student affairs. We would encourage practitioners who have submitted projects in the past and were not selected to reapply as many of the winning selections were separated from other submissions by a fraction of a point.
